漫画を探す中、カヲルを見つけました!

Thismorning I woke at 8am to catch a bus, to catch a train, to catch another train, so in other words it was an average morning in Japan.

Walked outside to see that it had snowed a little and was still snowing. I rang Paws on Skype to tell him.

The snow fell so softly...
I love snow!
The bus and trains took me to Nagoya station where I waited at the well known Golden Watch 金時計 for Remi.

We went upstairs in search of Sherlock manga (because it exists) and although we were unable to find that particular one, I did manage to pick up 百千さん家のあやかし王子 ( The Prince demon of Momochi's House) which looks very interesting. Also I found こんぎつね which is a children's book about a fox.

The white figure below is "Ningyou-san", she is at Nagoya Station and is often dressed although today we caught her hadaka..naked. She has a funny shape.
 狐うどん

Next adventure was 狐うどん - kitsune udon. (Fox udon).
There is no actual fox involved in this special from Kyouto, instead the toufu is there to represent the orange coat of the fox.
This particular restaurant allows you to add side dishes, so I added renkon and squid legs alongside the main dish.

 Book Off

Next Remi and I went to Book Off. All books from Book Off are second hand which makes them super cheap and they do not accept broken, soiled or damaged books you you are guaranteed a good buy.

Bought - Loveless - 10 books. 1,050円 = $12
      - Hack//Alcor -1 book  350円 = $4 (expensive)

Forgot to use my Book Off card. >.< Shall remember next time.

カヲル渚
 Kaworu Nagisa

I have begun my Kaworu Nagisa shrine with this beautiful shirtless Nagisa-kun.
He was, is and always will be, the only anime boy for me.

Finally I shall finish with this picture through the trees to Nagoya Tower. No doubt you will all see much of this tower over the coming year, though here is your first look. Today, like yesterday, was such a beautiful day. This-evening I once again was cooked delicious food by Remi's mum and I'm so very grateful for their hospitality and this whole experience in general.

Finally pressed the "hot matcha" button.

Much love,

Arrivals 到着

 I`m in Japan again!

飛行機 plane

CAN-> MEL = 7.5
MEL -> SIN = 5
SIN -> NAG = 8

Food was decent, managed to score a window seat on all but my final flight which was super empty so I scored the middle 4 seats to myself. Second flight I sat next to an Italian lady and her daughter. The daughter`s first language was Italian and her English was limited, though we managed and her mother said that her sister was going to have twins and she would suggest the name Belinda. ^-^

40 hours no sleep

到着

After managing to catch all three of my flights on time I was met by Miano from Aichi Shukutoku Daigaku. She took me to the university and gave me a short introduction to the university before showing me to my room. As you can see, I have my own fridge and my room has a massive window.

Went with another student to buy necessary items for Japan.

- futon
- umbrella
- drinks
- Ethernet cable

レミの家

My host sister Remi contacted me once i got my computer set up as asked if I wanted to come over for dinner with herself and Etsuko (her mother). Etsuko is an amazing cook and made 季節料理 (seasonal cooking) for me. The colours used for New Year are red and white.

- 豆(beans) for wellness
-レンコン
- 栗

Remi and Etsuko are going well and I hope to see them again soon. To get to their place I need to take one bus (20 min) and three 地下鉄. (underground trains - 15 minutes)

今日 Today

Today I slept until 1am (Because I really needed it). My futon is super warm and super comfy. From 1:30 I had an orientation where I was shown around the University and told more information about various things also listed in my Information Booklet.

After that I went to the electric store and convenience store and bought an adapter for my computer as my computer ran out of battery yesterday and I could not charge it. >.<

At the convenience store I bought a ticket for an Evangelion lucky dip and thought i had wanted the Kaworu figurine, I got a notebook instead. Shall try again next time for sure!

It's super cold in Japan, so please make sure you add Nagoya to your weather apps and think of me while you are enjoying your lovely warm weather.

明日 tomorrow

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. In the morning Waking up at 9 I have an interview to decide my Japanese level, followed by a trip to city hall in the afternoon to complete part of my application to stay in Japan. No doubt it will be a full day and I hope will all this stress there will be no tears.

お金 monies

Cash card works at shops, but will not allow me to get money out at an ATM. :( NAB card also will not work at any ATM. I have expenses to pay, but I can't access my money. Thankfully I have some cash on hand from my family, though it won't last me long. Rent is due soon, though I am going to keep trying ATMs until I can withdraw the money I need.

Multi-pass

Received my Multi- currency Cash Passport today.

After trying unsuccessfully at the Post Office (they entered the wrong number for my ID) they demanded my passport which is currently being held by the Japanese Embassy. This left me feeling rather panicked. While informing NAB that i would be overseas, they revealed that they also offered a travel card, however my heart was set on the Chameleon Multi-Pass <3.

Walked home and back 3 times (once to get my wallet, look for passport and Centerlink forms). Was informed that my request for Youth Allowance while I'm overseas has been given to the appropriate team, but not yet processed. >.<

Returning to the mall to collect some beverages to sooth the warm weather we have been having recently, I decided to pop into the Student Travel Agency just to ask if they could help me compare the Travel Cards on offer. Best idea of the day!

10 Minutes later...Multi-pass!!!

Goodbye 2013

Senti Mental's 2013 year in review

This was the year of fox onesies, Netherwings both in game and plush, Tom Baker scarfs, fabulous nails, fairly floss mustaches with Nuki-sama, tardis cakes, plastic meerkats and lots of University.

I discovered Cumbersmaug, new friends such as the wonderful Paws, Pokemon X, the Sydney Rainbow Crossing, Friendship is Manly, Professor Sycamore, "What does the Fox Say", Zombie Run, Pacific Rim and a disappointing new Prime Minister.

Experienced Priscilla live, Mardi Gras, my second election, another colourful Fair Day, time in Budderim with family, being bitten by a mouse, low hemoglobin, achieving level 90 in WoW, Nara Candle Festival with friends, Panda sunburn , Furries Under the Radar, my first "P" at University, ACL (Australian Cat Ladies) headaches and heartbreak, Jurassic Park 3D, another spectacular year of Eurovision and an enchanting Christmas with my favorite bears.
I created many new artworks and created my Lindt Bunny and Year of the snake outfit.

Found out i was an aeroplane, Bastien and better off single. Senti now has two new tails.

Also said goodbye to my childhood friend Milo. He was so very loved and shall be missed.

Next year will bring the exchange that I had worked so hard for in 2013 along with many new friends and experiences. Wishing you all a Happy New Year!!!
